Delightful Mixed Berry Mini Trifles with layers of strawberries, blueberries, and creamy filling, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound (454 grams) strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • 1 (8-ounce / 226 gram) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • A dash of vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 (3-ounce / 85 gram) package ladyfingers, broken into pieces (about 12 ladyfingers)
  • 1 pint (551 ml) blueberries
  • 6 small glasses or jars

Instructions

  1. Prepare the strawberries: In a small bowl, combine the sliced strawberries and granulated sugar. Allow them to sit for about 10 minutes so the sugar can dissolve and draw out the strawberries’ juices.
  2. Make the cream cheese mixture: Using a stand mixer or a hand mixer, beat the softened cream cheese with the powdered sugar until the mixture is smooth. Then add the milk and a dash of vanilla extract, mixing well until well combined.
  3. Layer the trifles: Start layering the trifles in your glasses or jars. Begin with a layer of ladyfingers, followed by a dollop of the cream cheese mixture. Next, add a layer of the juicy strawberries. Continue with another layer of ladyfingers and more cream cheese. Finally, top off with fresh blueberries for a burst of color and flavor.
  4. Chill before serving: Refrigerate the trifles for at least 240 minutes, or overnight if you have the time. This chilling allows the flavors to mingle and enhances the overall taste.
  5. Enjoy: When you’re ready to serve, take the trifles out of the refrigerator. Grab a spoon and dig in!
