Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups crushed pretzels
  • 0.75 cup butter, melted
  • 3 tablespoons white sugar
  • 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1 (8 ounce) container frozen whipped topping, thawed
  • 2 (3 ounce) packages strawberry flavored Jell-O®, gelatin
  • 2 cups boiling water
  • 2 (10 ounce) packages frozen strawberries

Instructions

  1. Gather all the ingredients and preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a bowl, stir together crushed pretzels, melted butter, and 3 tablespoons of sugar until well-combined. Mix well and then press the mixture into the bottom of a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  3. Bake the pretzel crust in the preheated oven until set, about 8 to 10 minutes. Once done, set it aside to cool completely.
  4. In a large bowl, place the softened cream cheese and 1 cup of sugar. Beat with an electric mixer until smooth. Then, fold in the thawed whipped topping gently. Spread this cream cheese mixture over the cooled pretzel crust.
  5. Dissolve the two packages of strawberry gelatin in 2 cups of boiling water. Stir in the still-frozen strawberries and allow it to set for a short time.
  6. Pour and spread the strawberry gelatin mixture over the cream cheese layer. Refrigerate until fully set, at least 2 hours.
  7. Once set, serve and enjoy your delectable Strawberry Pretzel Salad!
