Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups crushed pretzels
  • 0.75 cup butter, melted
  • 3 tablespoons white sugar
  • 1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1 (8-ounce) container frozen whipped topping, thawed
  • 2 (3-ounce) packages strawberry flavored Jell-O®
  • 2 cups boiling water
  • 2 (10-ounce) packages frozen strawberries

Instructions

  1. Gather all ingredients and preheat the oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
  2. Stir the crushed pretzels, melted butter, and 3 tablespoons of sugar together until well combined. Press the mixture into the bottom of a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  3. Bake in the preheated oven until set, about 8 to 10 minutes. Set aside to cool.
  4. Take a large bowl, place the softened cream cheese and 1 cup of sugar in it. Beat with an electric mixer until smooth. Fold in the thawed whipped topping. Spread this creamy mixture over the cooled crust.
  5. In another bowl, dissolve the strawberry gelatin in boiling water. Stir in the still-frozen strawberries and allow it to set briefly. Pour this strawberry mixture over the cream cheese layer.
  6. Refrigerate everything until set, at least 2 hours.
  7. Serve and enjoy your Strawberry Pretzel Salad!

Notes

For best results, let the dessert set overnight. Use fresh strawberries if preferred, and consider adding layers of different fruits.
